Our belief at Gather + Play
All kinds of minds.
All kinds of bodies.
More ways to play.
We believe it takes all kinds of minds and bodies to make the world go round. Ensuring our events are as welcoming and inclusive as possible hits close to home.
Every child belongs in the celebration
If something could help,
let’s talk about it.
If there’s anything within our control that could make the experience more inclusive, more comfortable, or simply more fun, we want to collaborate. Inclusion isn’t an add-on or a perfectly packaged checklist—it begins with making space for a conversation.
Personal to our family
Inclusive play starts with listening.
Our family has a personal connection to autism, so creating more welcoming experiences for children with ASD is especially close to my heart. I also know that no diagnosis, support need, or sensory profile tells us exactly what one person needs.
You know your child—or your guests—best. We won’t assume what “sensory-friendly” should look like for your event. Instead, tell us what helps someone feel safe, regulated, included, and ready to play.
If there is a thoughtful adjustment we can reasonably make without compromising equipment safety, we want to explore it with you. Sometimes that may be a small change. Sometimes it may simply be sharing more information ahead of time so the experience feels predictable.

Just start the conversation.
You don’t need to arrive with a formal accommodation plan. Share as much or as little as feels helpful, and we’ll work through the possibilities together.
